Give attendees a focused kiosk flow without exposing the staff workspace.
Kiosk Mode is a purpose-built attendee-facing arrival interface. It can scan the event QR, identify the attendee and continue only through the steps enabled for that kiosk.
Kiosk and Desk Mode solve different jobs.
Scan
Start from the attendee QR or configured identification step.
Confirm
Show only the information needed to confirm the right attendee.
Edit selectively
Allow configured attendee changes without exposing the full staff interface.
Complete
Check in and optionally continue to badge output.
Reset
Clear the previous attendee and prepare the station for the next arrival.
Self-service does not have to replace assisted arrival.
Mixed setup
Use kiosks for straightforward arrivals and Desk Mode for exceptions.
Same event state
Both modes can work against the same attendee domain.
Different lanes
Deploy operating points according to venue layout and attendee types.

Practical questions.
Can kiosks and staffed desks run together?
Yes. An event can combine self-service Kiosk Mode and staffed Desk Mode according to the venue and attendee flow.
Can the kiosk print a badge?
Badge output can be part of the configured kiosk flow when that operating point is set up for printing.
Does kiosk expose the full attendee record?
No. The goal is a focused attendee-facing interface with only the steps and edits enabled for that kiosk.
